En Plein Air with Sharon Sunday on June 19
June 19 @ 10:00 am
Curtis Farm Fruit Stand
Painting and art has always been a part of my life, as I grew up viewing the world through an artist`s eyes. I love color and see it in many things. Painting the landscape in all medias, for nature and reflections in the water inspire me. There is a certain amount of serenity when I paint outdoors. Sometimes when I am painting, I have a visitor. The Great Blue Heron often is present, so I like to include him in my pictures. I create scenes using loose brush strokes in my monotypes or showing texture with my pastels.
Experimenting with color, by limiting my palette to three or four colors, or using complimentary colors next to each other in a piece. God gave me this wonderful gift of seeing, and I feel compelled to use it. Often painting everything, from decorating my home to creating environments for my customers and sharing this knowledge with others.
The scope of my education includes an Associate’s Degree in Art from Jackson Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Michigan State University. I have also directed classes at Ella Sharp Museum and local schools in the Jackson County area. When I am not working and creating art, I run my private business, Creative Endeavors. I use this business to teach, paint, and do custom contract work. Please visit sharonsunday.net for more about Sharon.
