We reported in the August newsletter that Jean Walsh had a solo exhibit in the new Furnival Gallery located in Vista Grande Villa. We understand the exhibit was very well received and included a well attended reception. The Gallery offered a perfect platform for her to put her talents on display. Congratulations Jean.

The Jackson Civic Art Association "Plein Air Group" invites all JCAA members who are interested in plein air painting to join them each Tuesday during the summer, weather permitting. We paint at different outdoor locations throughout the surrounding area and have a lot of fun. There is no fee. If you would like to give it a try or need more information on times and location, please contact artist Jean Blais at 796-2619, Kay Fill at 592-3603 or Kaye Williams at 536-8166.

Please join me on Wednesdays 1-4 PM at the Community Arts of Tecumseh (CAT) for Open Figure Studio with live model in a single pose. Hone your painting or drawing skills, all media allowed. If you are working in oil, only odorless mineral spirits is allowed. Sessions are three hours long and run through December.
Fee is $7 and no registration is required. Class will be held at the John W Smith building, Smith Park, 804 N Evans St, Tecumseh (517) 423-0000 http://www.tecumseharts.org/
